Alumni are encouraged to join the groups which they have actively participated in as alumni including the various alumni mentorship programs and the job shadow program. This category also includes the Law Alumni Board and the Recent Alumni Committee.
Seattle University School of Law is expanding its outreach to alumni through its regional alumni programs. The Office of Alumni Relations will work with alumni leadership and partner with the Center for Professional Development, the Office of Admission, and the Externship Program to further develop the specific programming for each region.
Our regional programs and outreach are expanding; please consider joining the regional group in your area.
The year you graduated, your "class year", will serve as your default group. All alumni have already been registered within their respective class year.
These groups include Law Review, Seattle Journal for Social Justice (SJSJ), Moot Court, and Dispute Resolution. To join any of the above listed groups, you must have been a member of these organizations while you were a student at the law school. Members of the alumni community must request to join the group and be granted access by an administrator.
Alumni are encouraged to join those groups which they were a part of during their time at the law school. This provides a great way for alumni to find alums who share a common interest, and a great way to stay in touch with those with whom they worked in close proximity while at SU.
The law school enjoys its partnership with these organizations and is especially delighted to work so closely with alumni and their respective bar associations to promote and support diversity and justice in the legal profession. You are encouraged to join the groups that mirror your bar memberships.
The majority of our alumni are members of the Washington State Bar Association, but we know too that many are active in the their respective county bar associations. If you don't see your county bar listed and would like to engage alumni in the region, please let us know and we'll gladly add it.
